Science Day December 2022
We are lucky enough to have been loaned a set of scientific microscopes from the Royal Microscopic Society. On science day, everyone in Chestnut, Sycamore and Oak Class got the chance to use the microscopes. We learnt about what scientists use microscopes for, how to use and adjust the focus and what magnification was. Then we used the microscopes to explore lots of everyday items to see how they looked different under the microscope. Our favourite items to look at were the herbs, the poppy seeds and the bee/buttery wings. We made lots of interesting observations about the items.
